Looking for Suggestions

If someone is completely new to playing Texas Holdem online, which type of game would you suggest to start with after playing for free for a while?

Would it be a cheap ring game, a sit n' go or a full multi-table tournament? Which is going to give the beginner the best start to real money Texas Holdem play and the quickest way to improve their game?

I would have thought a low-stakes 9 or 10 seat conventional game would be best and it's where I would start if I was beginning to play, however, you may disagree.
